Wisp Resort - Day 2

After a full day of snowboarding on day one, we were planning on heading home the next morning. However, we woke up to 4 inches of new snow and so we decided to stay another day to see what the boys could do with a little bit of powder instead of ice! The resort was way more crowded, but we managed to get in another full day of white awesomeness. Now for awards time: Carter won Rookie of the Year award. This was his first time on a snowboard and by the end of day 2 he was very comfortable on his board, perfecting his heel turns. However, Carter was penalized for excessive celebration - you can catch it on instant replay below. Dylan won the Most Improved award. He started the day on the bunny slope, but by lunch time convinced us he was ready to go up the lift with Jake. By the end of the day he was cruising down Wisp Trail like it was no big deal. Jake won the Black Diamond award. The blurry video below is Jake coming down the only black diamond run that was open. The boys were having so much fun we stayed until almost closing time. Needless to say, the ride home was very quiet... and cold since our heater in the van stopped working! It's time to get a new car!

Wisp Resort

After Christmas we decided to head up to Western Maryland for some fun in the snow. We went to Wisp Resort, which is about 3 hours northwest of Baltimore near the West Virgina border. Well, when we got to the resort we soon found out that that the snow was really ice. It rained most of the day but the boys still had a great time snowboarding.

Pop A Shot Dreams

Just a little video using my new video camera I received from my wifey poo for Christmas. This is the boys playing a little game of pop a shot that they got from Santa today. I would have given anything to have something like this in my house when I was their age!
